1. Race entry (R1 500 per person, R750 per second / R7 500 per team)
Please note that late entries, entries received after the 1st of September 2008, will be subject to an additional R500 per competitor and/or R200 per official second. On Track Club members / Adventure Passport holders will be allowed a rebate of R100. The rebait will be paid to you at race briefing
Your race entry will include
q All camp site fees from the Saturday the 22nd of November 2008 up to and including departure on Saturday 30th of November 2008
q Helicopter flip for the competitors along the Wild Coast
q Race briefing dinner on Sunday the 22nd of November
q Starter's breakfast on Monday the 24th of November
q On Track Club hospitality "tent" at four of the PC points
q Massive abseils (Available to the seconding team)
q Massive traverses (Available to the seconding team)
q A bolted climb up a 100m high cliff face
q Prize giving banquet on Friday the 22nd of December
q GPS mapping package per team (CD Atlas of Southern Africa plus a GPS download for seconding crews) TBC
q One complete set of 1: 50 000 topographical maps per team
q One traditional fighting stick per person
q One hand crafted, engraved assegai per person
q The adventure of your life
q Prizes will be announced no later than August 2008
2. International package (US $ 450 per competitor)
This package includes a host of services, accommodation and logistical support plus an adventure tour of the Eastern Cape. We encourage you to mix and match an itinerary that will result in an experience that will live with you for the rest of your life.
Over and above the race entry package the international package will also include: (Your exact package will be confirmed when you book)
q Thursday the 19th of November to Friday the 4th of December you will be accommodated in chalets at Buccaneers Backpackers 30 km North of East London; this includes breakfast and dinner – (see website)
q Transfer from East London's airport to Buccaneers
q Wednesday 19th of November - Game viewing at Inkwenkwezi Game reserve (see website)
q Wednesday 19th of November - Press conference on Wednesday evening
q Friday 21 December – A logistical support vehicle and driver/second from Friday 21 December to Saturday 29 November. You will not be limited to any mileage however, you will be expected to pay for the fuel plus R2 per kilometer towards the wear and tear of the vehicle. (Exact details will be supplied when you make your reservation)
q Friday 21 November - Final equipment shopping in East London
q Friday 21 November - Final equipment check and packing of equipment
q Saturday 22 November – Depart for Morgan's Run registration venue (300km)
