On Track Club's Adventure Tourism Development Programme takes South Africa's biggest renewable resource (adventure tourism) and links it to
South Africa's biggest socio-economic challenge (Unemployment) and in so doing improves the quality of life for all the people in this country.
Selection, education, training, experience and employment
This project, over a three year cycle, identifies, trains and sets up individuals from disadvantaged communities in a viable, self-sustaining business opportunity that will ultimately uplift an entire community.
The programme starts with a systematic selection process that accommodates thousands of potential candidates from the townships and rural communities. The selection process is followed by a year of formal, accredited education and training at one of our training academies. The next phase is an experiential year of internship where the students gain first hand experience of the skills they have learnt. The highlight of this program must surely be the three-month international exchange programme where they work at adventure resorts abroad.
